Yesum Yoon (b.1995) is a South Korean artist creating objects of various scales and creature-like forms. Her works are often weaved together as a visual storytelling of her imaginary landscape. As a cultural nomad, her stories give voice to and greet people living in the permanent flux of closures and openings. Her work has been shown through exhibitions, open studios, and collaborations. Recent presentations include exhibitions at Brutus, JOEY RAMONE, Oud Huis Rotterdam, and Christian Dior Couture. Alongside the exhibition, her practice is gradually expanding to include writing, workshops, and research-based formats such as publications and long-term projects.
(She has received support by CBK Rotterdam, Het Cultuurfonds, Fonds Kwadraat, and Cultuur Eindhoven.)
